New Chapter for the Royal Arch in Bedfordshire

Saturday saw the birth of the Bedfordshire Chapter of Provincial Grand Stewards No 9577, the first new Chapter consecrated in the Province for over 30 years. Unfortunately, after spearheading the process to form this new Chapter for over 5 years, the Founding First Principal designate, Nick Edwards, tested positive for Covid on the morning of the meeting and had to miss the culmination of all his efforts.

After an early start for the consecration meeting, the companions reassembled for the annual Provincial Convocation to witness the appointment and promotion  of the new provincial officers. All then assembled for a well deserved and excellent lunch in convivial company.

For some, the celebrations continued at a local hostelry, completing a hugely enjoyable landmark day for the Royal Arch in Bedfordshire.
