Mercury is Starting to Rise Again
It was a special night at Mercury Lodge No 7289 last week when Richard Reynolds, current Master of the Lodge, brought his cousin Justin into Freemasonry.
This was the second new member for the Lodge in successive meetings, and with a double Initiation planned for next month, Mercury really is on the rise again.
However, the highlight of the evening was when John Bartram received a certificate in respect of his 50 years in Freemasonry. It was presented by Mike Freeley, Provincial Senior Grand Warden, representing the Provincial Grand Master, who, after having reminded everyone of other events in 1974, commented how good it was to share in the extremes of Masonic service.
From 50 minutes to 50 years, all in one evening.
