Mercury Celebrate Triple Fifty!

Mercury Lodge No 7289 recently celebrated three members completing 50-years’ service.

In October Graham Redman received his certificate from Hugh Love, Assistant Provincial Grand Master. During the presentation Hugh detailed the number of Lodges and other orders that Graham belonged to. The list was longer than both his arms put together!

In November Graham Redman made the presentation to Ron Robinson, who is well known across Bedfordshire Freemasonry. During his long career with British Airways Ron has visited many Lodges across the world. Although over 90, he is still a very active member of Mercury Lodge.

The third 50-year certificate was presented in February, to John Bartram by Mike Freeley, PrGSW.  On joining, John had to wait three years between interview and initiation.  He is still an active member of Mercury, in the past organising numerous Ladies Nights, and with his wife, Joan, many Wedding shows at The Keep. John also served for many years as one of the Keep Board of Directors, where he was very active in managing the maintenance and upkeep of The Keep’s fabric.
