Geoff Celebrates 50 Years at Old Dunstablians

Geoff Brook was in the limelight this week at Old Dunstablians Lodge No 5974, when his 50 years as a member of the Lodge was marked.

Ian Church, the Assistant Provincial Secretary, escorted by Ben Fitzpatrick, was in attendance to present Geoff with a certificate at Gables Hall in Leighton Buzzard.

During the presentation Geoff, who was Master of the Lodge in 1986, recalled how he first became aware of Freemasonry back in 1944, when he was a pupil at the Dunstable Grammar school and watched the Masonic furniture being brought into the school and being laid out in the assembly hall for meetings.

During the Festive Board Geoff was presented with a number of gifts, after which he gave a short speech, sharing his fond memories and thanking the Members before receiving a standing ovation from everyone.
