A Special Evening at Farley Chapter

Farley Chapter enjoyed a truly memorable evening marked by a “triumvirate” of significant events.

Firstly, the Chapter was honoured by the visit of the Most Excellent Grand Superintendent, Nick Edwards, accompanied by his escort.

Secondly, the meeting marked the first occasion on which the new Setting the Scene readings were delivered, adding further depth and context to the ceremony.

Thirdly, the Companions were delighted to witness the Exaltation of Trevor Davis, the current Master of Cumberland Lodge, into the Royal Arch.

The ceremony itself was conducted seamlessly with excellent teamwork supported by the Most Excellent Grand Superintendent who delivered both the Prayers and the Setting the Scene readings.

His Deputy, Barrie House, also contributed to the ceremony by sharing the Signs.

The evening was a fine example of Royal Arch Masonry at its best in Bedfordshire.

The Setting the Scene readings are incorporated at four key points during the Exaltation. They are designed to provide additional context and insight, helping candidates and members alike gain a deeper understanding of the narrative and symbolism unfolding during the ceremony. These readings can be found in the Members’ Area of the website under the Royal Arch Ritual section which includes much other useful information.
