£1,000 for Walking with the Wounded
Walking With The Wounded ‘WWTW’ is a leading military charity which recognises that those who served, deserve.
Whether mentally, socially or physically wounded, they deserve the care, support and means that they and their families need to function in society, serving in the communities in which they live, reigniting their sense of purpose and making a positive contribution again.
This £1,000 grant from Bedfordshire Freemasons is to support WWTW’s Quick Relief fund and Support Care Coordination programme in Bedfordshire. The Quick relief Fund enables the swift purchase of items, be it a £30 pair of work boots to enable a veteran to start employment, a £7.50 bus pass so they can attend an interview or £20 for a veteran to buy his young daughter a birthday present to stem suicidal thoughts for, in his words, ‘failing as a father’.
The little things making big differences that help crystallise the work of the WWTW team to help transform lives.
