Provincial Grand Lodge 2026
The 2026 annual meeting of the Provincial Grand Lodge of Bedfordshire marked the culmination of the Bedfordshire Freemasons 2026 Festival in aid of the Masonic Charitable Foundation,(MCF).
As previously announced the Festival raised some £1,302,026, with the Provincial Grand Master for Bedfordshire, Nick Edwards expressing his heartfelt thanks appreciation and immense pride of the membership who had contributed to that total in so many ways.
Not only did the meeting celebrate the Festival result, but as equally importantly a memorable afternoon for those members of the Province who received their well deserved appointments and promotions, with congratulations to all being very much the theme.
The principle appointments were as Senior Warden Christopher Hoad and as Junior Warden Claudio Fuccillo, followed by the appointment of Ben Fitzpatrick in succession to Andy Routledge as Provincial Grand Director of Ceremonies.
The meeting was attended by John Thompson the Assistant Grand Master of the United Grand Lodge of England, escorted by Robin Porter, along with James Long, Chairman of the MCF and Les Hutchinson the Chief Executive, Paul Crockett Head of Fund Raising and Trustee Howard Wilson, pictured with Bedfordshire Freemasons Graham Redman and Chris Damp.
Les Hutchinson addressed the meeting at which moment he announced the result, to much applause, followed by James Long giving a resume of much of the work of the MCF and achievements.
Nick Edwards in his impassioned address to the Province reaffirmed his pride in the generosity of all members, their spirit, and freely given time by so many members of the Province throughout the Festival which had resulted in relief being afforded to those who needed it most.
John Thompson on behalf of the United Grand Lodge of England, was equally impassioned and gave a most inspiring address of encouragement to all to take back to their lodges of One journey One Organisation.
The evening concluded at the Mercure Hotel – at which much refreshment and dining was enjoyed by all!
