Worshipful Brother Michael Richard Perry

Dear Brethren,

It is with sadness that I inform you of the passing to the Grand Lodge above Worshipful Brother and Comp Michael Richard Perry PProvJGW on 14th of March 2026 (84).

Michael was initiated on the 28th of October 1985 in St Johns Lodge L8817 installed as Master in 1993 and serving again in 2000, he was also  Director of Ceremonies from 2004-2006 and again in 2010 – 2011.

He was a  founder member of John Hindle lodge L9432 in 1991, he resigned 2008, and became a joining member of Bedfordshire Lodge of Installed Masters L7301 in 1993, resigning in  1996.

Michael was Exalted in Mercury Chapter C7289 on 19th of February 1988, resigning in 2001.

His first Provincial Craft appointment came in 1999 as PProvAGDC followed by promotions to  ProvSGD in 2005,  then to PProvGSwdB in 1996 and lastly in 2017 to PProvJGW.

Michael served Bedfordshire Freemasonry for 40 years in the Craft and Royal Arch Chapter 38 years.

Michael had been for some time in a care home sadly suffering from Vascular Dementia and declining health. He was the longest serving member of St Johns Lodge.

Our thoughts and prayers are with his wife Sandra, Daughter, and family at this very sad time. I will arrange a condolences card to the family on behalf of yourself and the province.
