Dear Brethren,

It is with sadness that I inform you of the passing to the Grand Lodge above Worshipful Brother Eric Wooding on 24th of January 2026 (98).

Eric was initiated on the 25th of March 1970 in Stuart Lodge L540 installed as Master in 1980, and elected an Honorary member in 2001.

In 2003 joined a local lodge Corbet Lodge L1583 (N. Wales) was assistant secretary from 2013 – 2017.

Eric served Freemasonry for 55 years.

Our thoughts and prayers are with his daughter at this very sad time.

I will arrange a condolences card to the family on behalf of yourself and the province.

I have been informed that Eric’s funeral will be held at Aberystwyth Crematorium, Clarach Road SY23 3DG on Monday 16th February at 12 noon, followed by light refreshments at the Talyllyn Railway, Tywyn.
