Cumberland Lodge Visit to Mallorca
By Bro. Alex Scutelnic, who joined Cumberland Lodge through the University Scheme;
Since I joined the Cumberland Lodge through the University Scheme and became a part of Freemasonry, my life has completely changed. I have met numerous amazing people and done a lot of interesting activities, the last one I would like to share with you. It was our Lodge holiday to Mallorca.
It is very difficult to describe in words the unique views that I was lucky enough to see there. In order to feel them, it is needed to be in that place and contemplate that beauty, but still, I will try to immerse you in this marvellous adventure.
First, I would like to highlight the sunsets. In Mallorca sunsets hypnotise so much with their beauty that they make you freeze in place and watch this process of nature. They are so beautiful that every evening we saw a new sunset, which is not like the previous one, but not inferior in beauty.
Also, the nature there is mesmerising, the local views capture your attention and at this moment you cannot think about anything else.
The weather in Mallorca is hot, but a pleasant breeze coming from the sea envelops your body and you can enjoy this moment with all your senses.
I also want to note the beach with cold ice cream, hot sand, and crystal-clear water. The atmosphere there is so pleasant, and people are so happy that you do not want to leave there.
In the evening, life in Mallorca begins to boil, local pubs and cafes hospitably open their doors and happily welcome visitors. You can meet interesting people from all over the world.
The island is not only rich in beautiful views and is not only a paradise for vacation, but there you can also find historical sites. I am sure everyone will find what they like in Mallorca.
I was lucky enough to be part of a great group from my Lodge throughout my holidays, so my memories are decorated not only with fantastic views, but also by my brothers who made this experience unforgettable for me. Many thanks to Bill Henderson who welcomed us all into his Mallorca home.
