A Visit to the National Memorial Arboretum

Philip Adams of Duo Fraternitates Lodge was at the National Memorial Arboretum in Alrewas, Staffordshire, recently for the anniversary of Operation Banner. Operation Banner was the longest continuous deployment of Armed Forces personnel in British military history, during which over 250,000 military personnel served. Between August 1969 and July 2007 1,441 military personnel died as a result of operations in Northern Ireland.
Whilst there Philip visited the Freemasons’ Memorial and took the attached photos which he thought would be of interest to the Members. To visit you have to book online, entry is free but parking is £4 + a donation if you wish to make one. Recommended as a good day out, but expect a lot of walking!
